Why patients choose Dr Heal for wrist and hand pain

  • We check the whole arm. We examine the wrist, elbow and neck together, since hand symptoms often start higher up.
  • We look for hidden causes. Diabetes, thyroid problems, pregnancy and arthritis all make wrist problems more likely, so we check for them.
  • Surgery is the last resort. We start with treatments that help you avoid an operation, and if surgery is ever truly your best option, we tell you honestly.
  • Everything under one roof. Imaging support, laboratory tests and a 24/7 pharmacy are on site. See our facilities.
  • Open day and night. Both branches are open 24 hours, seven days a week. Meet our doctors.

Our non-surgical wrist and hand treatments

Splints, work and phone advice

A wrist or thumb splint, especially at night, can ease nerve and tendon pain. We also look at your keyboard, mouse, phone use and how you lift and grip at work and home.

Guided rehabilitation

Gentle tendon and nerve gliding exercises, followed by strengthening, help restore pain-free movement in the wrist, thumb and fingers.

Steroid-free regenerative injections

For carpal tunnel, De Quervain’s, trigger finger and a painful wrist joint, our doctors may add a precise injection around the irritated nerve, tendon or joint. We use our own regenerative medicine prepared through Dr Heal Pharma, with no steroids, no painkillers and no antibiotics. Since many wrist and hand problems are linked to diabetes, a steroid-free injection also avoids the blood sugar rise that steroid shots can cause. Learn more about regenerative medicine.

Functional medicine: treating underlying conditions

Controlling diabetes, thyroid problems or inflammatory arthritis can make a big difference to wrist and hand symptoms. Our functional medicine and nutrition team addresses these as part of your plan, so you rely less on tablets. See our joint pain and arthritis page, and why painkillers are not the long-term answer.

How your treatment works

  1. Call or book online. Call 07969288086 or book an appointment. Bring any reports and your medicine list.
  2. A careful examination. Your doctor checks your wrist, hand, elbow and neck, your grip and the feeling in your fingers.
  3. Tests only if needed. X-rays, ultrasound, nerve tests or blood tests are arranged when they will change your treatment.
  4. Your treatment plan. You leave with a clear, non-surgical plan and simple changes to start that day.
  5. Follow-up until your hand works freely. We track your symptoms and grip and adjust the plan as you improve.

When to see a wrist and hand specialist

Call us on 07969288086 and book a consultation if:

  • Your fingers tingle or go numb, especially at night
  • Your grip is getting weaker or you keep dropping things
  • Thumb or wrist pain makes gripping, typing or lifting hard
  • A finger clicks, catches or locks
  • Wrist pain has lasted more than two weeks or keeps coming back
  • Your wrist still hurts after a fall, even if you were told it was “just a sprain”

Nerve problems like carpal tunnel recover best when treated before the muscles weaken.

Frequently asked questions

Can carpal tunnel syndrome be treated without surgery?

Yes, especially when treated early. Night splints, activity changes, functional medicine and steroid-free regenerative injections help many people. Surgery is usually considered when there is constant numbness, muscle wasting or symptoms that do not improve with proper treatment.

Why do my fingers tingle at night?

Night-time tingling in the thumb and first fingers is a classic sign of carpal tunnel syndrome, as the wrist often bends during sleep and presses on the nerve. It can also come from the neck, so we check both.

Is my phone or laptop causing my wrist pain?

Long hours of typing, mouse use and texting can strain the tendons and nerves of the wrist and thumb. Small changes to your set-up and habits often help a lot.

I have diabetes. Am I more likely to get wrist problems?

Yes. Diabetes makes carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger more common. Keeping your sugar well controlled is part of treatment. Dr Heal’s injections are steroid-free, with no steroids, painkillers or antibiotics, so they do not cause the blood sugar rise that steroid injections can.

Do I need an X-ray for wrist pain after a fall?

Often, yes. Some wrist fractures are easy to miss and can cause long-term problems if untreated. If your wrist is still painful or swollen a few days after a fall, get it checked.

Where can I get wrist pain treatment without surgery in Bengaluru?

Dr Heal Pain Cure Hospital treats wrist and hand pain without surgery at its HSR Layout and Banashankari branches. Both are open 24 hours. Call 07969288086 to book.
